Summary

Sarah J。 Maas's sexy, richly imagined Court of Thorns and Roses series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta。

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly – proud, swift to anger and slow to forgive。 And since the war – since being made High Fae against her will – she's struggled to forget the horrors she endured and find a place for herself within the strange and deadly Night Court。

The person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred, winged warrior who is there at Nesta's every turn。 But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites。 And when they are forced to train in battle together, sparks become flame。

As the threat of war casts its shadow over them once again, Nesta and Cassian must fight monsters from within and without if they are to stand a chance of halting the enemies of their court。 But the ultimate risk will be searching for acceptance – and healing – in each other's arms。

This may be my favorite in the series because it rings so close to home in so many ways。 I love it so much。 I have spilled so many tears over this book! Emerie and Gwyn and their stories and growth are my favorites。

This is just a recycle of A Court of Mist and Fury, but with the sister that nobody likes。 I'm sure Nesta will eventually redeem herself, but I really don't understand Cassian's motivation to pursue her unless its more of the lazy MATE MATE MATE writing。 I want to power through the book to see what cauldron powers Nesta has, but I don't care for Nesta。 SJM made it a point in this book for the reader to not care about Feyre and the old gang so you can sympathize with Nesta more, but as a result I This is just a recycle of A Court of Mist and Fury, but with the sister that nobody likes。 I'm sure Nesta will eventually redeem herself, but I really don't understand Cassian's motivation to pursue her unless its more of the lazy MATE MATE MATE writing。 I want to power through the book to see what cauldron powers Nesta has, but I don't care for Nesta。 SJM made it a point in this book for the reader to not care about Feyre and the old gang so you can sympathize with Nesta more, but as a result I don't like anyone lol。 Sorry series but I guess I'm done :( 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 A court of sex and guild。 I knew this book was about Nesta and Cassian。 I knew that the war had ended and that Feyre was to have a child。 What I didn’t know was that Nesta is an obnoxious shit and Cassian a simp。 After the infinite sex scenes and endless throwbacks (I regretted re reading the series to catch up, no point with all these constant event reminders) I was like ok new war, Nesta will be a Valkyrie wow !!!! I love this universe and series so much, and i thought this book had some really great moments! Plot felt a little rushed at times, most of the major parts happened in the last 50 pages of the book, and the plot was almost identical to ACOMF, but it was still real enjoyable to read。

To say that I loved this would be a massive understatement, because wow, this was so, so good。 The character development was unparallelled, and the plot was enticing from start until end。 I do have personal biases as I relate with Nesta with a number of her issues, but that was a good 700-page read。Just one thing that quite irks me and is just a huge puzzle I can’t seem to solve with the entire series thus far – SJM keeps bringing up so many issues, small and big, I wonder which loose ends she’l To say that I loved this would be a massive understatement, because wow, this was so, so good。 The character development was unparallelled, and the plot was enticing from start until end。 I do have personal biases as I relate with Nesta with a number of her issues, but that was a good 700-page read。Just one thing that quite irks me and is just a huge puzzle I can’t seem to solve with the entire series thus far – SJM keeps bringing up so many issues, small and big, I wonder which loose ends she’ll tie up given we’re only expecting a short story and a last novel。 I really do hope she ties them all up really well。 Can’t wait to get back to the world of ACOTAR again soon! 。。。more

No。 No, no, no, no。 If you're looking for Sarah J。 Maas's strong, fighting females, roaring warriors and action packed pages which are so exciting that you don't want to put the book down: Don't bother to read this book。 Or maybe just start reading at Chapter 64。 Before that Chapter, it is probably the worst book of SJM ever。 And believe me: I am really sorry I have to say this。I was sooo looking forward to this book - I liked Nesta in the previous books and was eager to read more about her, to No。 No, no, no, no。 If you're looking for Sarah J。 Maas's strong, fighting females, roaring warriors and action packed pages which are so exciting that you don't want to put the book down: Don't bother to read this book。 Or maybe just start reading at Chapter 64。 Before that Chapter, it is probably the worst book of SJM ever。 And believe me: I am really sorry I have to say this。I was sooo looking forward to this book - I liked Nesta in the previous books and was eager to read more about her, to discover her point of view。  I loved Feyre and Rhys in ACOTAR。 But already after their first appearance in ACOSF, they got on my nerves。 It shows a weak Feyre and a lovesick and overprotective Rhys, who's just always brawling about how he fucked his mate。In fact, this book is ALL ABOUT FUCKING and could definitely be one of Nestas smutty books, of which Cassian always makes fun。 I can't think of any reason why this became kind of a "soft porn" book with 2/3 full of really detailed describtions of sex。 It IS really annoying! When I choose to read a "Young Adult Fantasy Book", I wanna read a YA fantasy book and not one of those stories for desperate housewives, who languidly devour some greasy romance novels while their husband snores in bed next to them。It's not much more than fucking, talking about or thinking of sex。 Oh yeah, plus a few tips on how to meditate or on healthy food。 It only gets a bit more interesting during the bloodrite。 During this part, Sara J。 Maas shows some of her original qualities。 That's the only reason I give 2 stars。So, this book makes me sad。 And mad。(The proof of it is this arguably longest book review of my life。) I am constantly asking myself WHY? Why has SJMs writing become so different to her previous books? Why are those throbbing cocks suddenly SO IMPORTANT so that they show up in almost every freakin' chapter???? Was she running out of storylines? 'Cause if you leave out all the fucking, this book would have been waaaay thinner。 The main story could have been good。 - Fascinating and fantastical, like previous books in this series。 But it keeps bobbing on the surface, because so much space is used by the - yes, I say it again - sex scenes。 And then that ending? Nesta sacrifices AGAIN everything she has for a sister of hers? Didn't she already sacrifice enough when she went into the Cauldron to safe Elain? But oh well。。。 you, who love lovey-dovey-sticky-sweet happy endings: Here you go。 。。。more

2。5And that was that。 Overall, I only enjoyed half the things that happened in the book。 I did enjoy Nesta’s plot about mental health because it gave us a complex arc of who Nesta truly is after the war, but hated the sex scenes with Cassian because they were too much, too many, too irrelevant and mostly too stupid。 I dislike Rhysand and Amren a lot in this book。 I did not like how the writer tried to make them the voice of the reason when they were only being assholes with Nesta and the way she 2。5And that was that。 Overall, I only enjoyed half the things that happened in the book。 I did enjoy Nesta’s plot about mental health because it gave us a complex arc of who Nesta truly is after the war, but hated the sex scenes with Cassian because they were too much, too many, too irrelevant and mostly too stupid。 I dislike Rhysand and Amren a lot in this book。 I did not like how the writer tried to make them the voice of the reason when they were only being assholes with Nesta and the way she was feeling。 They were very judgmental and in the end Nesta had to apologize to both? No。 This book was too long。 Too long and still was not enough。 There’s a lot about Nesta and Cassian, which is fine, but the plot with Koshei and Bryallin was never truly developed and in the end it was all solved very easily。 I wish we could have more about the war plot and less of the characters speaking for pages doing nothing。Part three and four of the book are quite messy。 I did not enjoyed most chapters of those two parts because so many random things were happening at once。 The Blood Rite at the end was so boring and irrelevant, the Trove story is just a copy from the Deathly Hallows in Harry Potter and Feyre’s birth (a copy from Breaking Dawn) in the end solved easily and with zero real complications。 I was expecting a more explosive final act, sadly we didn’t have that。 I’m missing so many other things, but I’m lazy and just relief that I finish reading this book。On the good side, it’s always beautiful to go back to Prythian。 I’ve said this before, I love the world and the characters of this books (when portrayed like in the original trilogy)。 I know the romance and sex has always been a big part in this books, which is a shamed given that Sarah could write an excelente fantasy novel without so many stupid elements。 But that is never going to happen。I would love to read a book focus on Vessa, Koshei, Myriam, Drakon and Jurian。 I wan to know everything about those characters。 I feel so many things happen in Silver Flames but not the things I wanted to happen。 I miss a lot Mor in this book and wish we could have follow other problems from different characters such as Lucien finding out who his real father is or Eris finally facing Mor’s retribution。 But that didn’t happen as well。 Lastly, who the fuck named is child Nyx? 🙃Did I like the book? Half of it。 Was it worth it? Half of it? Would I read it again? No。 Am I gonna read the next book? Fuck yes, I’m already to immerse in this story to dropped it。 Am I expecting greatness? Not really。 I have no idea which direction the story is going to take and I’m not sure if that’s just my way of saying that I don’t feel as interested as before in the story or that I am utterly sure I am going to be surprised。I really, really hope that Sarah gives us what we want and that we finally have the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses crossover。 。。。more

I really didn't want to DNF this, but I had to at 26%。 It was quite a bit different than the ACOTAR series, mainly because it flips the genres。 It's more of a romance (and let's face it: erotica) with a fantasy subplot。 This is going to be a great change for people who prefer sexy scenes, but since I like fantasy with a heavy romantic subplot (。。。and no smut), this one just wasn't for me。 If YOU love romance/erotica, this one will check all the boxes for you! ACOSF is a book you need to read if you love this series because the character and story development is important。 This feels like the first book in an ACOTAR spin-off series more than a continuation。。 maybe because the main character focus changed。Thee first 3 of the 4 parts felt slow。 I loved the 4th part so it felt worth it。I was expecting more mind blowing moments in this book。。 but 。。 I still liked it。Hoping the next one will make it up for the slow pace!🤞

I cannot describe in mere words about how much I enjoyed reading this book。 I didn't get bored even for a second and neither disliked anything about the book。I've my personal reasons to love the book and some of them are: that I too struggled like Nesta with trauma and sadness (depression) and I just connected with her so so much。 I have only related to a character before and that was Jo March from Little Women but, connecting and relating to Nesta was on a whole personal level。 I connected with her anger, her lashing out on the people she loves, her thinking she didn't deserve love, and her healing。 I related to Nesta Archeron wholly and fully, as if her and I are were one being。And Cassian *sigh*。 God, what do I have to do to get a man like Cassian?! 😭 I think Peeta Mellark has a worthy opponent finally to remove him from my favourite book-boyfriend throne 😂🧡The only thing that disappointed me about the book was its cover 😭😭😭 like seriously! This just screams lazy, I mean I don't understand why go with this cover at all?? When you think about the Crescent City cover your expectations get so high and later your hopes are crushed with this cover😭。I also want to talk about female friendships in the book and how each of them healed one another in their own way。 I loved how the book made me feel with all of its action and romance and the thrill of the fantasy that felt soooo god damn real。 This is the fantasy world that i want to live in forever。I know some of you didn't like it that much but idc, I loved it to the core。 ❤️ 。。。more
